Federal Legislative Updates

In the next few weeks, the Senate HELP Committee and the Senate Finance Committee are expected to mark-up their health reform bills.

We expect the HELP Committee to walk through their draft bill during the weeks of June 1st and 8th. The HELP Committee is scheduled, tentatively, to mark-up the bill on June 16th.

We expect the mark-ups in both committees to occur in late June or early July so that bills will make it to the floor before the August recess.

We expect the same general calendar for the Committee on Energy and Commerce and their health reform bill.
